According to a GMA News report Tuesday, the two were abducted by six armed men disguised as National Bureau of Investigation agents around 8 p.m. at their residence in Barangay Francisco L. Peña in Kabasalan town.

An Army spokesman conceded that the kidnap victims , known locally as James Lou and Jampong Linyuan Kai, will be difficult to locate.

Captain Albert Caber said, “the kidnappers know it will be hard for authorities to find them. It is a mountainous area and there are many paths which can throw pursuers off”.

It is suspected that former Muslim guerrilla-turned-bandit leader Waning Abdulsalam is behind the abduction.
