Pearl Gosnell, wife of abortion doctor, sentenced to months in jail for her role in late-term abortions
The wife of ‘House of Horrors’ abortionist Kermit Gosnell was sentenced Wednesday, a day after Gosnell’s sister-in-law likewise learned of her fate.
Pearl Gosnell, age 51, was sentenced to 7 to 23 months in prison for her role in assisting her husband with illegal late-term abortions.

According to the Grand Jury Report, “Pearl testified that she alone assisted on Sundays, and that her role was to ‘help do the instruments’ in the procedure room and to monitor patients in the recovery room.” Gosnell performed abortions on the largest babies, which were all past the 24-week “legal” limit, on Sundays when none of his other staff were present.
“Only one person was allowed to assist with these special cases – Gosnell’s wife,” the Report continues.
“The files for these patients were not kept at the office; Gosnell took them home with him and disposed of them. We may never know the details of these cases. We do know, however, that, during the rest of the week, Gosnell routinely aborted and killed babies in the sixth and seventh month of pregnancy. The Sunday babies must have been bigger still.”
During her sentencing, Gosnell called her husband a “coward” for not apologizing for his deeds and said that she was sorry that she trusted him.
She plead guilty in 2011 to racketeering charges and performing an illegal abortion.
Gosnell has been ordered to report to prison in 30 days, and will likely obtain parole after four to five months of imprisonment.
