Pastor Paul Ciniraj reports the lions fended off attack from Islamic extremists, ‘no lion are supposed to live in that forest’
A miraculous story from the Middle East sounds like an incident written by Daniel of the Old Testament. Pastor Paul Ciniraj is working and ministering in the Middle East, even recovering from an attack by a group of Islamic extremists at the home of Christian convert.
The Pastor was attacked after baptizing converts and these Muslims stoned the man, forcing him to be rushed to a hospital after sustaining serious injuries to his skull. When he was transferred to a specialist hospital, the Islamic militants who stoned him earlier, however, discovered where he was being treated forcing him to leave the hospital and go into hiding.
On Easter Sunday, Pastor Paul began preaching with the home’s owner, Pastor Ayyoob, and now recounts the amazing intervention of a powerful God as the militants attacked again.
“My risen Lord Jesus Christ has saved my life once again,” Pastor Paul wrote on the ministry’s website, “and I praise and thank God for His unspeakable grace!”
As the believers were gathered near this home adjacent to the forest, the armed militants confronted the Christians.
“We had no idea what to do,” Pastor Paul recalled. The group of Christians thought they were all about to die.
Just then, a lion appeared out of the forest and began to attack one of the militants. The other two militants tried to fight the lion off, but then two more lions appeared. The militants ran away in fear and the lions left Pastor Paul and his group alone.
“Equally astonishing,” Pastor Paul added, “records show no lions are supposed to live in that forest.”
Ciniraj is the director of Bibles for Mideast, a Christian ministry that aims to distribute Bibles, preach the Gospel and invite people in the Middle East into God’s Kingdom.
