Pastor Jin Mingri seeking prayer and help over Chinese travel ban on daughter Grace Jin

Pastor Jin Mingri (Ezra) from the now banned Beijing Zion Church sent out another prayer request letter on July 27, calling the Chinese government to allow his daughter to return to the States as her law school is about to begin.

In his letter, he explained that in order to lift the travel ban placed on his daughter Grace Jin, he has become a “rights petitioner” himself, visiting several government agencies to protest the injustice that he and his daughter have encountered. However, his petition was met with silence or inaction.

He also provided an appendix addressed to the Chaoyang District People’s Office along with his letter. In it, he refutes the claim that his daughter is “likely to endanger national security while abroad.” He added that Grace has been studying in the States since she was 8, and has never participated in any political activities at home or abroad. Her travel ban was imposed only because of her connection to him.

He strongly requests the United Front Department to immediately lift the travel ban of Grace.

Pastor Jin leads one of the largest house church in Beijing, until it was shut down on September 9, 2018. The authorities banned the church after it refused to install surveillance cameras as requested in its sanctuary. Now he and his family are also under surveillance and cannot travel freely as they want.
