Only Amitabh Bachchan, No Shahrukh Khan for Balki’s next
Director R. Balki has denied the news of casting Shahrukh Khan in his next film, reports DNA on March 6, thus ending all speculations of Amitabh Bachchan and SRK coming together on the big screen.
After “Cheeni Kum” and “Paa,” the acclaimed director is gearing up with another film with Bollywood’s biggest maestro – Amitabh Bachchan. However, the project will not feature Shahrukh Khan, as some of the latest rumors suggested.
Balki notes, “I don’t know where that came from. Maybe because I shot a short-film with Shah Rukh last week. The same thing happened with my wife (the English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde). Gauri directed a Tamil ad for jewellery with Sridevi, and the news spread that she was working with her again. Well, we both wish we were working with Sridevi and Shah Rukh on feature films. But not right now.”
Although the script with Big B is almost ready, Balki shared no details with the media. However, he assured that this time around the 70-year-old will not fall in love with a younger woman or have a rare disorder.
Well, it will be interesting to see what the unconventional director has in store for all his fans.
Alas! It will be a long wait for those who were hopeful of seeing the Bachchan and the Khan together.
