One Million Moms leads outrage against lesbianism invading ‘Once Upon a Time’

The Christian watch group One Million Moms is leading the outrage over the recent episode of Once Upon A Time entitled “Ruby Slippers” in which a lesbian couple enjoyed”true love’s kiss.” Disney’s ABC hit show included the lesbianism between Ruby from “Little Red Riding Hood” and Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz.”

One Million Moms says this is “completely unnecessary,” even though producers claimed that including homosexuality in the show for kids was “important.”

“Many families watch the program based on beloved children’s fairytales, but unfortunately, ABC has distorted and twisted the storylines in these fables,” the group writes on its website.

During the episode, Dorothy was given a sleeping curse and it was up to Ruby (Meghan Ory) to give her “true love’s kiss” in order to save her. Once Dorothy woke up, the two ladies engaged in a full make-out session while the Munchkins and all of Oz looked on.

Once Upon a Time is a far from innocent fairy tale entangling favorite Disney characters in a new, modern storyline. When it debuted in 2011, it was called ‘the most family-friendly drama on any broadcast network in the past 10 years,'” One Million Moms says.

One Million Moms now believes that the show is “purposefully pushing a gay agenda.”

“True Love’s kiss has been a staple of this show since the beginning. This past Sunday’s episode was just another example of how in a fairytale, as in life, love is love,” co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis said in a statement about the LGBTQ storyline.

From the presser: The producers repeated the mantra “love is love” and again admitted that their goal was to normalize and push gay relationships “as a part of everyday life.”

“My thoughts for this episode is that it’s very important for any young viewers to see that same sex romance in media is becoming normal and it weeds out the intolerant viewers so kudos to the producers for that,” Movie Pilot writes, complaining that the move by Disney took too long.
