‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 may introduce Glinda the Good Witch
Fans of Once Upon a Time are clamoring over the arrival of the Wicked Witch and according to TV Line, she may be joined by another witch.
Two months ago former Lost star Rebecca Mader will be playing the villainess Wicked Witch (based on the Wizard of Oz character) on the ABC drama.
TV says Glinda will be next and that casting is underway. The article says ABC is seeking ” an actress in her mid to late twenties to recur as the good witch, who is described as elegant, warm and benevolent, as well as wise, clever and shrewd.”
Glinda sounds fit and ready to battle, which may be a good subplot to the Wicked Witch’s expanded role this season.
“The Wicked Witch of the West will be a big part of the @OnceABC back 9 episodes, says Paul Lee. #TCA14,” Lee tweeted during the TCA.
Red Riding Hood is also set to return after a disappearance since season 2. Played by actress Meghan Ory, Ruby (Red Riding Hood in the fairy tale world) started off in season two as a series regular, but unfortunately was rarely seen throughout the rest of the season and hasn’t been featured at all in the first half of season three.
Once Upon a Time returns March 9 on ABC at 8pm.
