NOVA: ‘Rise of the Drones’ to premiere Wednesday on PBS
Drones. Some little, some not so little, all remote controlled aircraft that carries with it plenty of controversy. Whether there are used in acts of warfare thousands of miles away or used by local police in your own backyard, everyone has an opinion on drones.
A new “NOVA” documentary series titled “Rise of the Drones” will reveal to the television viewer the innards of drone technology “with rare access to drone engineers and those who fly them for the U.S. military”. The show will premiere Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 9 pm on PBS.
Because NOVA is a science education program, it is unlikely that a discussion will brew over the moral and legal uses of these unmanned flying robots; however, that chance to examine the technology and capabilities of these robotic war and surveillance machines should peak anybody’s curiosity and attention.
