Nicholas Hoult talks Nux in ‘Mad Max Fury Road,’ Bryan Singer and ‘X-Men Days of Future Past’
Nicholas Hoult stars in next months zombie comedy “Warm Bodies” and begins some promotional interviews for the film. Hoult spoke with Screen Crave in an interview made available on Saturday and talked about two of his other projects: Mad Max and X-Men.

Nicholas Hoult will return as Beast in “X-Men: Days of Future Past”
In “Mad Max Fury Road” the “X-Men First Class” actor plays Nux.
He’s “the driver of one of the pursuit vehicles. A young kind of soldier, warrior character,” Hoult says. The film just wrapped.
“I finished Mad Max just before Christmas. We were in Namibia since June, so I’ve kind of been with my head in the sand a bit. Out in the desert, I’ve been completely in that world. It’s odd coming back to everything else. It’s nice to have this [Warm Bodies] and Jack coming out though. I’m hoping that people will like them.”
Hoult is referring to the Bryan Singer directed film “Jack the Giant Slayer” which was pushed back from 2012 to open March 1, 2013.
Production is set to begin soon on a sequel to “X-Men: First Class” which features Hoult as Beast.
“I don’t think we start for another few months.”
Singer will return to the X-Men franchise to direct this film, “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and Hoult is very excited.
“We’ve gotten along really well. He’s fantastic on the X-Men films. He really knows what’s going on. And from what I’ve heard about the script, I think it’s going to be a really cool film. I’m looking forward to it. I like that character [Hank McCoy/Beast] as well.”

I really like that Nicholas Hoult is starring in so many upcoming movies, but his role in X-Men is the most thrilling. A coworker at DISH and I have been trying to figure out how all of the characters will fit into the Days of Future Past, and it’s been tough to decide. It seems likely that the Beast would play some part in discovering the time travel, but it’s too soon to tell. To try to refresh on the movies during the wait, I have been renting the X-Men films using Blockbuster @Home from DISH. I love that it’s so easy and quick to get them delivered in the mail. But it’s also nice to have the option of exchanging them in a Blockbuster store if I’m feeling impatient. Nicholas Hoult really added another layer to the Beast in First Class and allowed for fans to connect with the character in a new way. I can’t wait to see that continuation in the new movie and see his skills as an actor in all of the movies leading up to it.
