Nicholas Hoult talks about his ‘Mad Max Fury Road role, says leave the driving to the professionals

Nicholas Hoult continues to be a busy actor and while promoting his latest film, “Warm Bodies,” discussed his role in “Mad Max: Fury Road” as Nux.

Explaining the character to Total Film in their upcoming issue, the “X-Men: First Class” says he’s a “puppy.”

“He’s like a puppy basically. That’s how I see him. He gets to drive one of the fastest pursuit vehicles and just lives and dies for that,” before explaining that the stunt driving was mostly left to the professionals.

“It’s all well and good in my head and I’m like ‘I can drive!’ But then you see all the other cars around and how much is going on and how talented all the drivers are – I dunno, I’d probably get all nervous and stall and panic if I was doing it.”

Hoult is set to begin production on the “First Class” sequel “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” but will arrive on the big screen next as the lead in “Jack the Giant Slayer.”

Warm Bodies” is in theaters now, with “Mad Max Fury Road” still awaiting an official release date, likely to be 2014.
