Newshounds Unite!: Ebola, Heartland virus disease and Donald Trump with Coston and Crof
It was a fun airing of the Outbreak News This Week Radio Show Saturday as I was joined by two of the premiere newshounds and infectious disease bloggers out there, Mike Coston, who runs Avian Flu Diary, and Crawford Kilian (Crof) from the H5N1 blog.

The plethora of topics we discussed included “newshounding”, cruise ship norovirus, Heartland virus disease, chikungunya and Crof gave his thoughts on vaccinations and celebrities who question or oppose the public health measure.
After the break we jumped right into the topic of the week- Ebola and the many stories surrounding the Guinea outbreak. Mike even chimed in about “Flubola”(you gotta hear this!).
Crof left us with about 10 minutes left us and Mike talked about the Zika virus outbreak in the Pacific and the spike in Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS) and the H5N8 avian influenza antibodies in dogs in South Korea.
I want to thank these two very well-informed men for coming on the show and I hope to do this again.
