New ‘X-Treme X-Men’ comic book follows ‘Exiles’

From WonderCon comes more X-Men news and fans will be excited to hear about the universe expanding.

“If you liked Exiles, you’ll like this”, says Marvel Director of Communications Arune Singh during the 2012 WonderCon’s Talk to the Hat panel.

Steve Segovia will be providing the art on the “Astonishing X-Men” spinoff.

“Dazzler is the Marvel Universe character in it. There is a threat in existence but they have to stop a threat to reality. It’s Greg and that crazy ‘Planet Hulk’ mind of his,” added Singh.

The original Exiles title ran for 100 issues, and featured characters including the popular ‘Age of Apocalypse’ versions of Blink and Sabretooth and Nocturne, the alternate timeline daughter of Scarlet Witch and Nightcrawler.

X-Treme X-Men will launch in July.
