New ‘X-Men Apocalypse’ trailer reveals mutants at war
Fox has released a new trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, revealing a lot of new footage.
The new film centers on the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, an immortal named Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac). After gathering his new version of the Horsemen, Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique sounds like her Katniss character from The Hunger Games franchise, rallying the troops. Ben Hardy’s Archangel faces off against Kodi Smit-Mcphee’s Nightcrawler and Nicholas Hoult’s Beast is seen battling Olivia Munn’s Psylocke.
“You’re not students anymore. You’re X-Men” is the new battle cry.
Michael Fassbender as Magneto and Alexandra Shipp’s Storm round out this group of Horsemen.
Evan Peters returns as Quicksilver with Lucas Till (Havok), Lana Condor (Jubilee), Rose Byrne (Moira) and a likely appearance by Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to arrive in theaters on May 27, 2016.
