New ‘Wonder Woman’ trailer focuses on Diana Prince, ‘Origins’
For most fans, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was the best part of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and a new trailer for the new standalone film reveals more of Diana Prince’s origins. Wonder Woman arrives this summer, so check out the footage below.
The Amazon warrior flashes back from modern day to her past after Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) sends her the old photograph. Diana’s life plays out in the film, how she interacted with mankind and ultimately discovered her destiny.
Slash Film praised the footage from Wonder Woman shown at the Warner Bros. post-production facility in London a couple weeks ago. The footage appears to be confirmation that Ares resides within Danny Huston‘s German military character, General Erich Ludendorff.
Director Patty Jenkins says that she’d been developing this project on and off for roughly 10 years before being officially brought on as director. Perhaps that’s why there’s an authenticity to the proceedings, despite the fact that we’re still dealing with a fantastical superhero who was created by the gods.

Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg, based on characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston. The film is produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder and Richard Suckle, with Rebecca Roven, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. Warner Bros.
