New trailer for ‘The Lone Ranger’ deepen comparisons to ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’
The final trailer for The Lone Ranger was released Tuesday, which focuses on the origin of the title character, played by Armie Hammer and his partnership with Johnny Depp’s Tonto.
Fans can now get more looks and the other characters and sets which seems to have incredible similarities to director Gore Verbinski’s other hit franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean.
The massive scale of the action and Depp’s oddball performance is at the center of dirty and shady characters and, yes, there even is a hint or two at a supernatural presence. (Official Synopsis below)
The film also stars Tom Wilkinson, Ruth Wilson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, and Helena Bonham Carter.
The Lone Ranger opens on July 3rd.
