New trailer for ‘300 Rise of an Empire’ featuers more action for the ‘300’ sequel
A new 60-second trailer for 300: Rise Of An Empire has been unveiled online featuring a synopsis of the action packed sequel to 300.
Based on Frank Miller’s follow-up graphic novel Xerxes, 300: Rise Of An Empire follows Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton) as he goes up against Xerxes’ (Rodrigo Santoro) Persian army. This time round, the battle takes place at sea, which should provide scope for some epic new action sequences.
“It’s huge!” Lena Headey recently said, discussing her return as Queen. “It’s different in that Zack [Snyder] didn’t direct it, so it’s a very different feeling…But the film, visually, follows on very much from the original. It’s something that’s so beloved for its physicality and visceral content. I had fun; I got to hold a sword.”
Headey’s returns as Queen Gorgo, and the film adds a new character Calisto, played by Jack O’Connell.
Directed by Noam Murro and starring Lena Headey, Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green and Rodrigo Santoro.
The sequel , 300: Rise of an Empire, will open in theathers on March 7, 2014.
