New ‘Thor The Dark World’ TV spot and posters feature Heimdall and Malekith’s Dark Elf army
Thor: The Dark World has released an extended TV spot online, featuring a couple of moments that tie the film to the events of The Avengers. Two new posters landed which feature the villain Malekith and his army in one and Heimdall in the other.
The new spot shows Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster giving Thor an earful for his long absence, pulling him up on not having visited her last time he was on Earth. Jane again refers to The Avengers, landing a punch squarely on Loki’s jaw in payback “for New York”.
Loki will not be the big bad villain this time out, as he and Thor team up in an uneasy alliance to thwart the nefarious plans of Malekith the Accursed and his army of Dark Elves.
Heimdall (Idris Elba) is center stage in one of two new posters. A clearer look at the army of Malekith, the villain seeking domination.
Directed by Alan Taylor and co-starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston with Christopher Eccleston joining as Malekith.
Thor: The Dark World arrives in theaters November 8, 2013.
