New ‘Spectre’ trailer and Bond ‘girl’ photos and details
The first full length trailer for the new James Bond film, Spectre, features a ton of new footage and details. New photos and comments from all of the Bond girls/female characters, played by Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Naomie Harris, and Stephanie Sigman, also dropped as well.
USA Today debuted photos of the women of Spectre, detailing each one, each starring opposite Daniel Craig’s Bond. Check out the pics below.
Seydoux plays Madeleine Swann, a doctor and the daughter of an assassin. Bond “comes to find her, and she doesn’t want anything to do with him,” Seydoux explained.
Bellucci portrays Lucia Sciarra, the widow of a murdered Mafioso. “She comes from a man’s world,” Belluci said of her character. “But when the attraction between them takes place and she realizes her feminine power on him, then she trusts him to save her.”
Sigman plays the mysterious Estrella as the actress wouldn’t even reveal the character’s last name. “She’s a lot like me,” said Sigman. “We like to have fun and we’re joyful people.”
Eve Moneypenny returns from Skyfall, as Harris explained the character’s new role in Spectre. The events of the last film “made her reassess what she was doing as a profession and what she wanted to do with the rest of her life.” said Harris. “[S]he wants to support in a different way. There’s a maturity in that decision and a groundedness you see with her.”
Spectre looks to have a full cast of interesting, capable women. This teaser offers a lot of footage, Bond’s quirky wit, links to Spectre and some gear from Q.
Spectre opens November 6 and also stars Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz, Andrew Scott and Dave Bautista.
