New ‘Rogue One’ TV spots reveal more action footage, battle on Scarif
In a new TV spot for Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story fans get a few new snippets of footage – including an exciting shot of the Imperial advance on Scarif.
While the latest look at the film contains a lot of previously seen footage, but there are a few new shots of Jyn, Cassian, and another tease of what is sure to be one of the movie’s main set pieces: an army of Imperial Stormtroopers and AT-AT Walkers advancing against the Rebels on the beach planet of Scarif.
A second new spot centers on Jyn Erso and her father Galen.
The film is set after Revenge of the Sith (the birth of Darth Vader and his children Luke and Leia) and the events of A New Hope (when Luke and Leia are grown). Here a ragtag bunch of rebels battle to secure the design plans of the Death Star, the Empire’s new battle station, capable of destroying an entire planet.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker.
Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.
The movie opens in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2016.
