New report confirms Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor in ‘Man of Steel’ sequel
The rumors may have been true: Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston will play Lex Luthor in the sequel to Man of Steel, which has been nicknamed Batman vs Superman.
AMC offshoot podcast Team Amasian are claiming that they’ve 100% confirmed that Cranston will play the villain in the Batman Vs. Superman themed sequel to Man Of Steel.
The ladies say they can’t reveal their sources, but the same ones also claim that Ben Affleck will sport an Alex Ross inspired Batman costume in the movie – check out the video below.
AMC’s John Campea took to Twitter last week claiming a couple of “untested sources” revealed to him that Cranston would play Luthor.
“I like Lex Luthor,” Cranston said in a August interview about the rumor. “I think he’s misunderstood. He’s a loveable, sweet man.”
Cranston confessed that his wife may not be too happy about the role. “She wasn’t so keen on the bald head,” Cranston admits. “The bald head ages a man. It’s just that she didn’t know me that way.”
Sources have confirmed to The Dispatch that Doomsday will be a part of the film in some way.
The film (Batman vs Superman) is set to arrive in theaters July 17, 2015.
