New ‘Monsters University’ trailer offers music, scares and fun VIDEO

Monsters University has a new trailer to showcase its music and fun.

The Pixar prequel catches up with Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. ‘Sulley’ Sullivan (John Goodman) in their college days, before they were Monstropolis’ top scarers and, more importantly, best buds.

The latest trailer is designed to show off the music from the soundtrack, which includes contributions from Pixar regular Randy Newman and Axwell & Sebastian of Swedish House Mafia.

Fans get a look at some new gags, and some glimpses at the university’s Scare Games, which sees the pair and their fraternity face off against the other houses.

Pixar is looking to score big with Monsters Inc. being a huge fan favorite.

Here’s the rest of the cast: Art (Charlie Day), Don Carlton (Joel Murray), Terri and Terry Perry (Dave Foley and Sean Hayes), Scott Squibbles (Pete Sohn), Dean Hardscrabble (Helen Mirren), Professor Knight (Alfred Molina) and Randy Boggs (Steve Buscemi).

Monsters University opens in theaters June 21, 2013.
