New Hampshire: Body found in Rindge as Brandon Chicklis, ruled a homicide

Authorities in New Hampshire have identified the body of a man found Tuesday afternoon in Rindge as Brandon Chicklis and determined that his death is a homicide.

Brandon Chicklis

Chicklis, 20, is from Westminster, Massachusetts, but was found off Route 119. The attorney general confirmed some details in the case, including that Chicklis was last seen on June 26, just prior to a visit to his see for Father’s Day.

Weeks after the missing persons report, a jogger called Rindge police on July 10 to report a body along the eastbound side of Route 119. New Hampshire State Police conducted a search of the area and found Chicklis’ body near the roadside.

“Something happened, and that’s what we don’t know,” said Paul Chicklis. “He was coming here to see me so we could have dinner and spend some time together for Father’s Day.”

“We just need to find out who did this to my son that didn’t deserve this horrific end to his short life,” said Chicklis.

He was quickly reported as missing after not arriving to meet his dad in Windham, New Hampshire, when he disappeared. Brandon was living with his girlfriend and her family in Westminster.

The missing persons report went out on June 26.

“MISSING PERSON ALERT
We are seeking your help in locating Brandon Chicklis. Brandon was last seen in Westminster on June 23, 2018 at approximately 1pm. Brandon is operating Massachusetts registration 7NA723, a 2010 Honda civic, gray. @WCVB @deskon7 @MattNBCBoston @telegramdotcom”

The Honda was later found at the Hannaford Supermarket parking lot on U.S. Route 202 in Rindge by the New Hampshire State Police.

Authorities are asking anyone who saw Chicklis on June 23 or knew what he was doing that day to come forward with information.

Authorities ask that anyone who saw any motor vehicle stopped on the eastbound side of Route 119, east of its intersection with Route 202 — specifically between the intersections Route 119 with North Street and East Main Street in Rindge — anytime between June 23 and June 25, reach out.

The circumstances that led to Chicklis’ death remain under investigation.

Anyone with this information or any other information about this crime is asked to contact Sergeant Shawn Skahan of the New Hampshire State Police at 603-223-8729.
