A new trailer for Godzilla has landed Feb. 25 with a roar, literally fans get to hear the creature’s roar as the trailer is packed full of exciting moments.

godzilla-poster city in destructionBryan Cranston’s opening speech is moving and this sets up the nuclear origins of the beast.

Fans have been impressed with the massive scope of the film, the large scale monster and incredible scenes of destruction.

“They’re taking a very restrained approach to this. Much like ‘Jaws’ did, Steven Spielburg didn’t always show the beast. His essence is present and it’s there … and it’s creepy. So you know the tension will mount,” Cranston said of Edwards’ approach to Godzilla.

Elizabeth Olsen plays Elle Brody, the wife of Ford Brody–played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson–in the movie from director Gareth Edwards.

Check out the full trailer below.

The film also stars Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, Ken Watanabe, and David Strathairn.

Godzilla opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on May 16th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Godzilla:

An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
