New ‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 4 trailer says ‘Welcome Back’ as Steve Buscemi’s Nucky faces a new rival
Last season on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) managed to defeat Gyp Rosetti (Bobby Cannavle) with the well-timed help of Chalky White (Michael Kenneth Williams) and Al Capone (Stephen Graham). Nucky even managed to lure his rival, Arnold Rothstein (Michael Stuhlbarg) into some significant legal trouble.

Jeffrey Wright will be the new villain on HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire’
But Nucky’s desire to melt back into the shadows of anonymity is probably never going to happen.
This fall, Boardwalk Empire is coming back to HBO for its fourth season, as Nucky finds himself at odds with Dr. Valentin Narcisse (Jeffrey Wright), the man who controls Harlem. Other new players on the board include Sally Wheet (Patricia Arquette), a possible new love interest for Nucky who runs a speakeasy in Tampa; Domenick Lombardozzi as Al Capone’s older brother Ralph and Ron Livingston as a wealthy businessman named Roy Phillips, whom Gillian Darmody (Gretchen Mol) sets her sights on.
The newest teaser trailer offers a glimpse of some of the new characters, in addition to fan favorite character, Richard Harrow (Jack Huston); who can’t seem to leave the life of violence behind him.
Boardwalk Empire Season 4 begins on Sunday, September 8 on HBO.
