Netflix exec talks ‘Defenders’ and leaves door open to Jon Bernthal’s Punisher involved
Following the all-new trailers and teasers that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, Netflix teased fans even more as Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos spoke with IGN, First up was questions about the schedule, juggling new seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones with the upcoming Defenders series.
“I doubt that we could produce at the quality that produce at that speed. But we’re gonna try to make them quicker so we can get less downtime between them.”
Then back to The Defenders, Sarandos teased: “The whole cast is called on for The Defenders, which changes the production schedule for the other shows.”
When pressed if Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher (also set for his own spin-off series) would be joining Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in the team-up series, he teased: “Uh… stay tuned.”
