Neil Jackson will return as Abraham in ‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2, Tom Mison sneaks ‘flashbacks’
Sleepy Hollow fans may be happy to hear Neil Jackson will be back as Abraham Von Brunt, the man who becomes the Headless Horseman. Star Tom Mison spoke briefly about the new show, coy to not say too much.
Mison said to E! News that all fans should expect there to be “more flashbacks, exploring the core of the characters and expanding the world of Sleepy Hollow. There will be new characters coming in exposing new problems.”
Deadline reported that Jackson has signed on for a reoccurring role in season 2. So, combining the news, fans can expect the Ichabod and Abraham back story will continue and be fleshed out through a series of flashbacks.
Jackson appeared in TV series, including Person of Interest, Make It or Break It, Upstairs Downstairs, FlashForward, Stargate: Atlantis, CSI: Miami and How I Met Your Mother, notes Crave Online.
“Marvel fans may also recall Jackson as Marcus Van Sciver, the lead vampire villain on Blade: The Series,” Crave added.
House of Cards star Sakina Jaffrey and One Tree Hill alum Matt Barr have joined the cast as well. E! News, reports that Jeffrey will play Leena Reyes, a former U.S. Border Patrol officer in Texas who returns to Sleepy Hollow as the new Sheriff.
Barr will portray Nick Hawley, a “ruggedly handsome bounty hunter.”
Barr will be “The adventurous, archetypal loner, who has a rough and tumble demeanor, assists Abbie and Ichabod with a supernatural case. His casting was first reported by TVLine.com.” says Metro West Daily News.
Sleepy Hollow is due to return in the fall.
