Natalie Grant to host ‘It Takes a Church’ dating show for GSN
A new reality show is coming to GSN, hosted by Christian music’s Natalie Grant.
The sixty minute reality show will visit a different congregation at churches across the U.S. in order to find the perfect romantic partner for a preselected single person.
The church’s pastor will then ask his or her congregation to try to find a match.
At the end of the competition, the single in question will have to choose his or her favorite partner. The member of the congregation who recommended the match will win a donation for the church.
“I’m so excited to host ‘It Takes a Church’ and have the opportunity to interact with churches all across America to bring a family-friendly show based on Christian faith and values,” Grant said in a news release. “Church has been such an anchor and source of hope in my own life, and I look forward to showing the sense of community that can be found in the local church.”
The first season is to include eight episodes produced by Authentic Entertainment for GSN, with Tom Rogan and Lauren Lexton (“Flipping Out,” “The Best Thing I Ever Ate”) serving as executive producers along with Richard Hall (“The Amazing Race”) of Great Blue Productions.
