Farhan Haji Mose, age 25, was beheaded on November 16, killed after being “monitored” for six months, Christians said to The Global Dispatch via email.
Mose visited Kenya back in 2011, which is mostly Christian, and became “suspicious” when he returned to the Muslim dominated Somalia.
A crowd formed and witness the massacre of Mose.
“His body was split into two, then carried away, only to be dumped near the beach of Barawa city,” a Christian source who witnessed the murder told Morning Star News.
Another witness confirmed the details to the Dispatch, saying they (the extremists) were screaming about his “being a spy” and “conformed to foreign religion of Christians.”
Mose allegedly did convert to Christianity in 2010, returned to Kenya, said an “underground Christian” who knew Mose.
“I am saddened by the death of my friend Mose.”
al-Shabaab rebels have killed dozens of Christian converts from Islam since embarking on a campaign to rid Somalia of Christianity. The insurgents, variously estimated at 3,000 to 7,000, seek to impose a stricter version of sharia (Islamic law) on Somalia.
