‘Munsters’ reboot ‘Mockingbird Lane’ is officially dead

“X-Men” director Bryan Singer and writer Bryan Fuller (“Pushing Daisies”) managed to bring The Munsters back to life in this year’s Halloween special Mockingbird Lane, but the potential series didn’t spark with the network.

Fuller gave fans the bad news, speaking on Friday about the cancellation via Twitter:

I tweet with a heavy heart. NBC not moving forward with #MockingbirdLane. From producers and cast, thank you all for enthusiasm and support.

“Mockingbird Lane” starred Jerry O’Connell, Portia de Rossi, Eddie Izzard, Charity Wakefield and Mason Cook, as the show featured the exploits of an abnormal family and their attempts to fit in (or not) to everyday society.
