Movie News: Christopher McQuarrie will direct ‘MI7’ and ‘MI8’ back-to-back, Leslie Jones freaks out over ‘Ghostbusters 3’ news
A couple of general movie updates:
Mission Impossible 7 and 8 coming with writer/director Christopher McQuarrie
Christopher McQuarrie is set to return to write and direct Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8.
Variety reported the news: the plan is for McQuarrie to write the scripts for the films now while Cruise is busy filming Top Gun: Maverick and then film them back-to-back starting later this year. Their hope is that the seventh and eighth installments of the franchise will hit theaters in the summers of 2021 and 2022.

Ghostbusters 3 news causes Leslie Jones to go unhinged
Jason Reitman has secretly put together a new Ghostbusters 3 film, one with original castmembers and themes. While he praised the new film, with an all-female cast, he said it was not connected and there is plenty of room for different Ghostbuster stories.
One star of the failed reboot, Leslie Jones, didn’t take the news well.
“So insulting. Like f**k us. We dint count. It’s like something trump would do. (Trump voice)”Gonna redo ghostbusteeeeers, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain’t ghostbusteeeeers” ugh so annoying. Such a d**k move. And I don’t give f**k I’m saying something!!” – @Lesdogg
One twitter response summed up her hypocrisy: “The 2016 Ghostbusters was a reboot that took place in an alternate universe & ignored the original movies. It lost money & didn’t seem to be very well-received by audiences or critics. That was fine, but a legit sequel that fans have been wanting for 31 years? Like f**k us, huh?”
Reitman has hinted that a co-ed teen cast will be taking over those proton packs, so….
