According to a Platte County Citizen report, a spokesperson for the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department confirmed Wednesday that Patrick N.Martin, 37, was arrested Sept. 26 at a Kansas City Motel. Martin was issued a  misdemeanor citation for patronizing prostitution, and released at the scene after signing a signature bond.

County school officials have announced that Assistant High School Principal Alan Bunch had been named interim principal at the High School for the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year, effective immediately.

This has been reflected on the school’s website.

KCTV5 reports:

Kansas City police said a sting was performed on Sept. 26 by placing an ad on backpage.com asking for a date. Martin called and spoke with a female detective posting as a prostitute.

The two met at the Sleep Inn at 7611 Northwest 97th Terrace. He agreed to pay $150 for sex acts, according to police department spokesman Darin Snapp. After the agreement was made, Martin was arrested for patronizing prostitution.

The Platte County Citizen reports that Martin was hired for the Principal position just last spring replacing longtime PCHS principal Craig Robinson, who retired.

Martin’s court date is Dec. 27.
