The missing Tempe, Arizona woman who was last seen Monday was found dead in her vehicle from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in Pinal County, Tempe police officials said.

Police were told by the family that Lisa McDonald, age 41, drove away from Phoenix, driving without a “destination in mind.”

McDonald apparently drove her blue Nissan Versa to Pinal County, where she took her own life.

When missing, police released the following description:

“She’s described as 5′ 10″ tall, 135 pounds, with dark blue eyes and shoulder-length blond hair with black underneath.  She was last seen wearing a black tank top and blue shorts and carrying a purple purse.”
