Minnesota Ilhan Omar doesn’t know why Jews find her anti-Semitic comments offensive
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said on Thursday that she did not understand why Jewish Americans would find her anti-Semitic comments to be offensive.
She defended her anti-Semitic views while appearing on CNN’s “Newsroom” with Poppy Harlow, where she referred to Israel’s government as a “regime.”
“I wonder what your message is this morning … to Jewish Americans who find that deeply offensive?” Harlow asked.
“Oh, that’s a really regrettable way of expressing that,” Omar responded. “Um, I, I, don’t know how my comments would be offensive to Jewish Americans.”
Example of her statements on Israel:
Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel
