Mike Colter talks ‘Luke Cage’ for 2016, ‘don’t expect a yellow shirt everyday’

While on the red carpet for Captain America: Civil War, Luke Cage star Mike Colter spoke about his character, the upcoming series, confirming the iconic yellow shirt and more.

But we’ve got to bring it up a bit and step into the current time. So we’re going to make sure everybody’s happy, but don’t expect a yellow shirt every day. Let’s put it that way … We brought it to mustard. We started there. We knocked it down a bit. Not so bright.”

Fans may get a better sneak peak later this summer at SDCC as Colter is joined by House of Cards star Mahershala Ali as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Simone Missick as Misty Knight and Theo Rossi as Shades.

Back in this series as well is Rosario Dawson, guest star as Claire Temple, the Night Nurse presented on both Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Colter’s Cage was a highlight during the first season of Jessica Jones and it will be interesting to see how the character is grown and developed.

 

Netflix will release Luke Cage on September 30, 2016.
