Michigan: James Yun charged in human trafficking case
Madison Heights police announced Friday that James Yun has been charged in a human trafficking case, prostituting a Chinese citizen.

Yun, 36, was arrested by the department’s Special Investigations Unit on Tuesday at a Days Inn Hotel on 14 Mile. The unnamed victim, 33, is in the United States on a Visa, but no other details were made available.
The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office charged Yun with transporting a person for and accepting earnings from prostitution, both 20-year felonies; human trafficking/forced labor, a 10-year felony; and keeping a house of prostitution, a five-year felony.
Yun was in business for more than a year, using online advertisements. 7 Action News reports that other women may be involved as well.
Yun was arraigned Friday in Madison Heights’ 43rd District Court. Bond was set at $250,000.
Yun also was ordered to surrender all passports, wear a GPS tether, stay in the state and not have any contact with his victim.
The officers of the Madison Heights Special Investigations Unit and other officers from the Madison Heights Police Department that worked in conjunction with the Special Investigations Unit are to be commended for their efforts on this case
