Michael Lucak officially charge with murdering his parents: Dennis Lucak, Helen Lucak

The North Royalton Police Department in Ohio announced that Michael Lucak (Brewer) has been charged with the murder of his parents: Dennis and Helen Lucak.

The Lucaks, both 72, were found dead Sunday in the condominium on the 11800 block of Harbor Light Drive off Abbey Road. Both were killed in the bedroom, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Lucak, 44, reportedly also goes by Michael Brewer, will face two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated burglary and felony theft. He was taken into custody at a Medina hotel Monday, where investigators said they recovered evidence including a 9mm handgun.

Lucak stole cash, banking items, keys, phones and other items from his parents’ home.

Neighbors told police and the press that the son lived with the couple, but moved out recently.

Police revealed that Dennis’ sister believed the couple may have gone to Arizona to visit Michael. According to the police report, she told officers, Michael was in a drug rehab facility and “had gotten into some trouble recently.”

According to a June, 2016 police report, Dennis Lucak called police to report that Michael, who he said had mental health issues, was “breaking everything inside the house” after an argument over Michael cooking pork chops.

Michael “threw a toaster and a lamp at Dennis, which struck him in the shoulder,” and slammed Helen Lucak’s cell phone into the kitchen sink then threw it into the toilet, according to the incident report.

The report states that the Lucaks told officers Michael began living with them permanently in 2015 since being diagnosed with lymphoma.

He was charged with domestic violence and criminal damaging and Dennis Lucak signed a temporary restraining order against Michael, according to the report.

Dennis and Helen Lucak were members of the Broadview Heights church where Dennis worked as a deacon for more than two decades. He was also a retired RTA bus driver.
