Michael Adebowale, Lee Rigby murderer, inspired by Islamic leader who preaches beating women, killing gays
In late December Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, were found guilty of the brutal murder of British soldier Lee Rigby near a military barracks in southeast London in May. Now Adebowale has revealed he was converted to Islam by a preacher who advocates beating women and killing gays.
Adebowale, age 22, awaiting sentence for the murder of soldier Rigby, told a pen pal he converted after listening to Sheikh Khalid Yasin’s lectures.
In the letter, written the day after he and Adebolajo were found guilty of murder, he complains that he has had “little support” from Muslims and disgusted that they are “appalled by his sick crimes.”
Adebowale, whose mother Juliet begged Lee’s relatives for forgiveness, also said his non-Muslim family did not understand him.
Yasin, who calls the Taliban “our brothers”, rages in one video: “The delusion of equality of women is
foolishness.” Another shows him backing the death penalty for gays.
Yasin believes that HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, is probably man-made and that the US Government is the likely culprit. He said that “missionaries from the World Health Organisation and Christian groups … went into Africa and inoculated people for diphtheria, malaria, yellow fever and they put in the medicine the AIDS virus.”
Yasin accuses Israel of state terrorism. He refers to “an occupation of Palestinian land by the criminal state of Israel … and they are still committing terrorism after 50 years”.
