Miami auto designer, Alex Vega, shot by unknown gunman
The Miami-Dade Police Department, Kendall District report investigating the shooting of famed auto designer, Alex Vega.

According to investigators, Alex Vega, 45, was attempting to park his vehicle inside of his garage when an unknown man approached his vehicle on the driver’s side and opened fire, striking Vega in the back several times.
The subject fled on foot eastbound on SW 106 Terrace. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported Mr. Vega to Kendall Regional Medical Center in stable condition.
According to police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta, the unidentified gunman was dressed in black, had on a mask and wore gloves.
Vega, who operates The Auto Firm, is known for customizing cars for celebrities like boxer Floyd Mayweather and Olympian Usain Bolt.
A motive for the attack was unknown.
