MegaCon 2017: Stan Lee headlines great list of comic book guests
While the 2017 pop culture convention season is in full swing Orlando’s MegaCon is certain to continue as one of the largest regional shows with 100,000 in attendance in 2016 and huge expansion plans for this year’s four-day event.
Topping an amazing list of comic book creators is Stan Lee, the famed creator of Marvel Comics. Lee has become a regular fixture at the event, but still has the rock star appeal for fans young and old.
Sadly, Lee has said this will be his last MegaCon and a 100 excited fans will celebrate with a new special event called “Breakfast with Stan Lee.” It includes a hot breakfast buffet, autograph, best selfie ever, and a private Q&A with Stan the Man — yes, it’s sold out.

Lee will be joined by big hitters in the comic book industry: J. Scott Campbell, Greg Capullo, Scott Snyder, Jason Aaron, Tom King, Adam Kubert, George Perez, Adam Hughes, Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, Greg Rucka and X-Men legend Chris Claremont.
Scheduled to take place May 25 to 28 at the Orlando County Convention Center, MegaCon Orlando is slotted to have the cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show movie, stars from big movies and television shows.
MegaCon is the largest United States convention owned by Fan Expo’s Informa plc, and has grown to include a splinter Tampa event each year in addition to its core Orlando event.
