MegaCon 2015: Comic book artist Rob Hunter praises DC over Marvel, reveals his favorite character

As thousands of fans converge in Orlando for 2015’s MegaCon comic book artists are staying busy. Rob Hunter was all about talking with his fans, open to discussing his experiences with both Marvel and DC as well as his love of the Caped Crusader.

When asked who he preferred he said, “I prefer DC, they better and I always get to work on my Batman.”

Hunter is a Florida resident and seemed to enjoy meeting and greeting fans from all over the Sunshine state at Florida largest comic book convention. Hunter has a growing following in the business, now working on New Suicide Squad, which has found increased interest with the news of the Suicide Squad film.

The recent team is led by Black Manta, is making their way into China. Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Reverse Flash, and a trio of Manbat ninjas make up the remainder of the team, notes Batman Universe before praising Hunter’s work:

“The action sequences in the book are beautifully rendered with heavy contrast used to draw attention to the intensity of the combat. A splash page featuring the Manbats is a testament to the artistic talent of Rob Hunter. This approach serves the series well by placing the Suicide Squad in what could be considered their natural habitat. It is refreshing to see the Suicide Squad fighting an external force as opposed to being pitted against each other,” they write.

There was little question when asked what Hunter’s favorite character was and he responded with, “Batman for sure.”
