McDonalds, Walmart and Subway most visited businesses

A new study by Placed Insights shows that McDonalds is the most visited business, where nearly half (49%)  of Americans over the age of 14 visited a McDonald’s location at some point in March, with Walmart in a distant second  with four out of 10 people visiting.

Walmart had nearly 3-times the number of visitors as competitor Target.

Following McDonalds and Walmart are Subway at 38%, Burger King and Starbucks at 24% rounding out the Top5.

GameStop (#12) and RadioShack (#14) ranked as the top electronic retailers. Notably absent from the Top 20, electronic retailer Best Buy came in at #35.

Leveraging the world’s largest location panel, Placed Insights measures over 70 million locations a day across more than 70,000 U.S. panelists who have opted-in to share their location, creating the most accurate and comprehensive view of consumer behavior in the physical world.
