Max Thieriot discusses Dylan’s future in ‘Bates Motel’ season 2
A&E’s hit show Bates Motel engages fans as the recent episode has turned the Bates family upside down. Caleb (Kenny Johnson) was revealed to be the father of Dylan played by Max Theiriot.
Now Theirot talked with Seattle Pi in a Mar. 23 interview, beginning with the news that Caleb is his character’s father.
“It changes everything! It throws a huge curveball into their family dynamic. It changes how he thinks about himself and how others perceive him as well.”
“It will disrupt their relationship,” he says about Dylan’s relationship with Norma. “This is another thing Norma had been keeping from him and [it’s] the biggest yet. He does understand, but at the same time, he doesn’t understand why she would bring a child into the world that will instantly be despised because of the circumstances.”
Theiriot says Dylan is “totally hurt and repulsed” and he watches Norma continue on, going on a date with George (Michael Vartan).
He details the changes in the character from the first episode, working the drug trade and the situation with Gil. Check out the full interview HERE
