Marvel confirms ‘Hulk’ TV series has been shelved, Mark Ruffalo Hulk is ‘better solution’
Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb has addressed the rumoed Guillermo del Toro’s Hulk TV series which appears to have stalled
Loeb told Ain’t It Cool News that the success of Mark Ruffalo’s portrayal of Bruce Banner in The Avengers led to del Toro’s project being put on hold.
“Guillermo del Toro came in and talked to us about doing a Hulk show and when Guillermo del Toro comes and wants to do a show about your pinkie, you are going to want to do it,” Loeb said.
“But it was just a case that once we saw what Joss Whedon and Mark Ruffalo were creating in The Avengers, that was a better solution.”
A television series based on Marvel super-heroine Jessica Jones has also also been in development since 2010.
Loeb explained that the adaptation “didn’t quite fit with the ABC model” but added that Marvel “still believes in that show in a major way”.
del Toro has sounded pessimistic when asked about the project.
“I met with Jeph Loeb after ‘Avengers,’ but after that meeting, there’s been complete radio silence on the show. It’s very frustrating for me and for the fans that we don’t know,” del Toro said during our interview for the film “Mama.” “I haven’t heard anything in months about the show, but obviously ‘Avengers’ is a game-changer for Marvel. It’s their property, and if I don’t make it, at least I’ll watch it.”

I believe that mark ruffalo is not the perfect fit for Bruce Banner because he doesn’t look like Dr.Bruce Banner at all.So they need a better replacement for the New Hulk TV series. The perfect fit for Dr.Bruce Banner is David Tenant.
