Marvel confirms ‘Captain America 2’ script
Marvel has officially signed on “Captain America: The First Avenger” writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to script ‘Captain America 2′.
Chris Evans is already slated to star in “Avengers” for a 2012 release.
The publicity for Cap is full throttle as the Super Bowl ad fueled even greater fan conversaton and anticipation. Hugo Weaving’s Red Skull seems to be well received by fans, especially with the sneak peek in the trailer. Developing a Halloween costume so far ahead of the theatrical release indicates the incredible expectations that Paramount, Marvel and fans have for this film.
So, what can be made of a sequel?
Hydra, Red Skull…”The Fist Avenger” will be the first chapter, so expect a vigilante style villain in Crossbones and honestly, more Red Skull. The Skull is to Captain America as Lex Luthor is to Superman or the Joker to Batman.
It’s truly an exciting time for Cap fans.
