Mark Hamill confirmed for a return to ‘The Flash’ for midseason finale

Many from the press got a chance to visit the  set of The Flash, which was filming its midseason finale, a Christmas episode set to air on December 8th and featuring a number of familiar faces.

“What does Christmas have in store for Iris this episode?” Candice Patton said during an interview with Comicbook.com. “I mean, it’s a lot about family. Which is a big plot point for Iris this season. That’s really exciting. Other than that I don’t know that there’s much more I can say. We see some … A reappearance of some rogues from the past that we know very well. It’s a good Christmas episode. Just like the last one. Good villain, and good love, and good heart.”

Grant Gustin confirm that at least one of the familiar Rogues will be Mark Hamill in his role as The Trickster, meaning that just as Star Wars mania reaches its fever pitch ahead of the December 18 release of The Force Awakens, Hamill will be back on your TV along with some other Rogues.

Danielle Panabaker teased “mistletoe,” when asked what is in store for her character, Caitlin Snow.

Hamill famously played the Tricker on the 1991 TV version of Flash and has returned to the CW version as the “older” character, inspiring a younger version.

“I’m a fan. I loved the comics when I was a kid and I watched the original series,” Hamill told E! News along with a small group of reporters at a press screening of the episode back in March. “When this version came on, my daughter Chelsea is a big fan, and I watched it from the very first episode. I even thought, since they were doing Mirror Master and Weather Wizard and various other Rogues Gallery characters, I wondered if they were going to do the Trickster.”
