‘Manhattan’ season 2: Harry Lloyd back, Griffin Dunne joins, set for September premiere
Fans of Manhattan, the WGN series about the construction of the atomic bomb during World War II, got some casting news with Harry Lloyd talking about his return for season 2 and the casting of Griffin Dunne.
Lloyd’s Paul Crosley is headed back, the actor told Den of Geek.
“I’m about to do a second season of WGN America’s Manhattan, which I did last year,” Lloyd said while promoting Supreme Tweeter.
“I’m heading back to Santa Fe this year.” Lloyd admitted that his character left on ambiguous circumstances, but he is happy to return to the American Southwest.
Additionally Griffin Dunne has joined the cast “as Woodrow Lorentzen, a tenacious and self-destructive newspaper reporter who finds his way inside the gates at Los Alamos and discovers the scoop of a lifetime — and also a chance to turn his life around,” according to Variety reports.
“The series has begun production on its second season in Santa Fe, New Mexico,” they noted. Everything points to a September premiere, but WGN America has made no official announcements.
Created by Sam Shaw, Manhattan will return John Benjamin Hickey, Olivia Williams, Ashley Zukerman, Rachel Brosnahan, Michael Chernus, Alexia Fast, Christopher Denham, Katja Herbers and Daniel Stern.
