Lucy Liu apologizes for ‘little Filipino’ comment on Letterman show
The “Elementary” star apologized today for a comment she made on the David Letterman show Oct. 11.

Lucy Liu told Ruben V. Nepales of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, “I am so sorry that my comment was taken out of context, as I would never insult another group or ethnicity.”
On Letterman’s show last Thursday, Liu was asked by the host about how she keeps in shape and whether she runs indoors or outdoors. Liu said, “I run in a machine. It is easier for me. Also, if I get really dark, I’ll start to look a little Filipino. It wouldn’t match.”
This comment caused mixed reactions on the YouTube page. Some were extremely pissed and outraged:
