Louisiana: Video shows leftist protesters disrupting prayer, Pledge at Town Hall
Many Americans are expressing their free speech at GOP Townhall events and anti-Trump protests. The most recent event garnering national headlines is Louisiana, where left wing protesters disrupted the prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
Members of the unruly crowd began screeching of “separation of church and state!” ahead of Sen. Bill Cassidy fielding questions on Obamacare, immigration, the Trump administration and the proposed Bayou Pipeline.

Cassidy was constantly shouted down as he tried to explain his plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Several people stood up and turned their backs on him.
Protesters could be heard marching in the parking lot outside. “If all you want to do is vent, this will not be profitable,” Cassidy said. “But if we can get through this we will start answering questions.”
Cassidy never made it through that presentation.
Unlike many in the Senate, Cassidy joined with others to actually put forth a replacement plan for Obamacare, but still allowed states to choose to stay and maintain Obamacare for their constituents. Read more HERE

The senator was greeted with shouts of “shame” and exited an hour later to chants of “do your job.”
COMMENTARY: Let me be clear, these voters have the RIGHT to assemble and ask questions of Sen. Cassidy. Free speech must be protected at all cost.
That said, who are you attempting to sway with this approach?
Louisiana voted for Trump 58-38% and Cassidy isn’t up for re-election until 2020. Even then, Cassidy has proposed a plan to allow states to KEEP Obamacare. He’s not some hardcore conservative bent on shutting down health care.
The protesters wouldn’t even allow the Powerpoint presentation or questions? What good did you accomplish?
Shouting down prayer and the pledge will only help the case for Trump supporters and Republicans in 2018. An intolerant left shouting “SHAME” isn’t going to convert a Trump voter.
Just my thoughts anyway.
