Lois Clark, Elementary school teacher, tased and carjacked
A man attacked a Kelly Elementary School teacher with a Taser on Monday morning as she was parking her minivan on the street adjacent to the school on Kelly Avenue in Wilkinsburg.
Lois Clark, age 61, told press that seeing the assailant’s knife made her think “This is what it’s like” that she’ll die.
The suspect allegedly used the stun gun on the teacher and stole the vehicle. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Clark said she started kicking at the man, and he demanded her keys, so she gave them to him and he drove away with the side door open.
The vehicle is described as a 2004 green Honda Odyssey minivan with a Sunoco sticker on the back window.
“The experience is traumatic, as it would be for any of us,” Wilkinsburg School District Superintendent Archie Perrin Jr. said to The Global Dispatch. “But she’s dealt with it exceptionally well. She was coherent, she was settled and she did extremely well with it.”
