Liz Morgan interview: ‘The Remaining,’ her love of Shakespeare and Tarantino films

A new faith-based film centering around the Biblical account of the Rapture in a new and interesting way. The Remaining is described as a horror/thriller, not a genre well populated with faith-based films.

Liz MorganSpeaking with Dispatch Radio about The Remaining and what audiences can expect, actress Liz Morgan openly confirms the intensity of the film in an exclusive interview.

Liz is part of the cast of those “left behind” and are scrambling to assess the situation and determine means to survive the new “horrible enemy” which has been unleashed onto the earth.

Affirm continues to be a growing leader in the faith-based entertainment industry, picking up the film for wide distribution. Liz promises audiences will experience the story and leaving questioning their own spiritual state.

Morgan is self-proclaimed William Shakespeare fan and talked about her favorite roles and what she has lined up around the corner. Liz and Brandon then discuss movies, more specifically her favorite directors: Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson.

The supernatural thriller, based on biblical accounts of the end times is directed by Casey La Scala (Donnie Darko) and written by La Scala and Chris Dowling. The film stars Alexa Vega (Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D), Shaun Sipos (Texas Chainsaw 3D, TV’s “The Vampire Diaries”), Johnny Pacar (Flight 29 Down), Italia Ricci (TVs “Chasing Life”), Bryan Dechart (Step Up 3D) and newcomer Liz E. Morgan. The Remaining is produced by Brad Luff (Urban Legends), Marc Bienstock (Quarantine 2: Terminal) and La Scala. Rounding out La Scala’s team are cinematographer Doug Emmett (Paranormal Activity 4), production designer Brian Stultz (Iron Man 3) and editor Paul Covington (30 Days of Night).

The Remaining is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of terror, violence and destruction throughout, and thematic elements. Running time is 87 min.
